FACC expands composite manufacturing partnership with Kineco Aerospace

FACC has expanded its partnership with Kineco Aerospace, awarding the Indian company a second work package to manufacture composite components for Airbus aircraft.

The new agreement follows the successful completion of a key Airbus qualification milestone and builds on the long-term supply chain partnership signed by FACC and Kineco at the Paris Air Show 2025.

Under the expanded collaboration, Kineco Aerospace will manufacture several thousand composite components annually in India, with serial production expected to begin by the end of 2027. The programme is aimed at strengthening India’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities while supporting Airbus’ global production requirements.

Andreas Furthmayr, Executive Vice President – Aerostructures at FACC, said India is becoming an increasingly important part of the global aerospace industry. “Our strategy is to develop industrial capabilities there with trusted, long-term partners. Kineco has already demonstrated the standards we require, and this second work package reflects the confidence we have built together. We are not sourcing from a market—we are building capabilities with partners and growing with them as India’s aerospace ecosystem develops,” he said.

S.R. Mukherjee, Chief Operating Officer of Kineco Aerospace, described the award as a major milestone for the company. “Being entrusted with a second Airbus work package by FACC is a significant milestone in our partnership and a strong endorsement of Kineco’s advanced composite manufacturing capabilities. This programme further strengthens Kineco’s position as a strategic manufacturing partner within the global aerospace supply chain while supporting our vision of building world-class composite manufacturing capabilities in India for the world,“ he said.

The expanded partnership highlights the growing role of Indian aerospace manufacturers in the global aircraft supply chain, with increasing participation in the production of advanced composite aerostructures for major OEM programmes. It also reflects the industry’s continued focus on developing resilient, long-term manufacturing partnerships as aircraft production rates continue to rise.
