ExecuJet MRO Services Australia has completed its first 20-year maintenance check on a Bombardier Global Express aircraft involving comprehensive inspections and testing, including the removal of the cabin interior.

ExecuJet MRO Services Australia (ExecuJet) has achieved a significant milestone by completing its first 20-year maintenance check on a Bombardier Global Express aircraft, marking the heaviest airframe maintenance task possible for this aircraft type. The extensive work was carried out at ExecuJet’s facility located at Melbourne’s Essendon Airport, showcasing the company’s expertise in handling complex maintenance projects.

The 20-year maintenance check on a Global Express involves comprehensive inspections and testing, including the removal of the cabin interior to access fuselage areas that require examination. Additionally, the aircraft underwent overhauls for all three landing gears to ensure optimal performance and safety.

During the downtime, ExecuJet utilized the opportunity to upgrade the aircraft’s inflight entertainment system, which is part of the Honeywell Ovation Select cabin management system. Furthermore, USB-C outlets were installed in the cabin, allowing passengers to fast-charge their devices while onboard, enhancing the overall passenger experience.

Grant Ingall, Regional Vice President Australasia, ExecuJet MRO Services said, “With more Global Express aircraft coming due for this check in the coming years, we are well-positioned as we have the experience and attention to detail. Our clients recognise that we have the capability and capacity to deliver quality services, on-time and cost effectively; that makes ExecuJet MRO Services the preferred MRO partner for business jet owners and operators in Australia and the region.
