ExecuJet completes Legacy 650 cabin refurbishment

ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East has completed a full cabin refurbishment and exterior livery paintwork on an Embraer Legacy 650 at its Dubai facility.

The project combined cabin interior work and aircraft painting at the same MRO location, demonstrating the range of refurbishment capabilities available at ExecuJet’s Dubai operation.

The cabin refurbishment included revarnishing the aircraft’s cabinetry, replacing carpets and recovering the dado panels, overhead panel, sidewalls and ceiling. Metallic cabin components were also replated to match the new interior colour scheme.

The Legacy 650’s cabin seats were redesigned and reupholstered with new foam and leather. The work was carried out in coordination with Embraer and the seat manufacturer to ensure compliance with applicable regulator safety requirements for 16G aircraft seats.

The project also included the application of a new exterior livery, with the cabin’s materials, textures and colours coordinated with the aircraft’s new exterior finish.

“Our ability to offer heavy base maintenance, aircraft painting, along with cabin refurbishment at one airport location reinforces our position as a growing hub for aircraft MRO services,” said Nick Weber, Regional Vice President Middle East, ExecuJet MRO Services. “We are seeing increasing demand in the region for cabin upgrades, and have been steadily increasing our in-house capabilities to enable us to offer a comprehensive suite of MRO and aircraft refurbishment services, reducing aircraft downtime and improving customer satisfaction”

ExecuJet operates a purpose-built 15,344-square-metre air-conditioned facility in Dubai providing MRO services for aircraft from Dassault Aviation, Bombardier, Embraer and Hawker.

The facility’s capabilities cover base maintenance, aircraft painting and cabin refurbishment, allowing multiple maintenance and refurbishment activities to be performed at the same location.

ExecuJet has also supported Embraer business jets for many years and operates as an authorised service centre for Embraer business jets.

“We have been supporting Embraer business jets for many years and have a long and trusted relationship with the aircraft manufacturer,” Weber added.

The Legacy 650 refurbishment highlights the growing scope of business aviation MRO in Dubai, where cabin interiors, exterior finishes and aircraft maintenance can be combined within a single MRO facility. The work also demonstrates the technical requirements involved in modifying aircraft interiors, particularly when seat refurbishment must meet established aircraft safety standards.
