EVA Air has approved the purchase of five LEAP-1A30S spare engines from CFM International for a total value of up to US$131 million.
The airline’s board approved the transaction on August 13, 2026, as part of efforts to support its operational requirements and strengthen spare-engine capacity for its LEAP-1A-powered fleet.
The additional engines will provide EVA Air with greater flexibility in managing engine requirements and supporting fleet availability as it continues operations with aircraft powered by CFM International’s LEAP-1A engines.
