Etihad Engineering extends support services partnership with Sanad

Etihad Engineering has a robust track record in delivering MRO solutions to a diverse clientele, including flag carriers, OEMs, aircraft operators, and leasing companies worldwide.

As part of the extended partnership, Etihad Engineering is set to acquire a hangar from Sanad, thereby expanding its total hangar capacity and will lease more hangar space and engine storage areas to Sanad, supporting the operational requirements of both entities. 

Etihad Engineering, a prominent provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) solutions, has announced an extension of its longstanding collaboration with Sanad, a global aerospace engineering and leasing solutions provider owned by Mubadala Investment Company. This announcement was made at the Dubai Airshow, solidifying the strategic partnership between the two entities. As part of the extended partnership, Etihad Engineering is set to acquire a hangar from Sanad, thereby expanding its total hangar capacity. Additionally, Etihad Engineering will lease more hangar space and engine storage areas to Sanad, supporting the operational requirements of both entities. 

The Shared Services agreement between Etihad Engineering and Sanad has been reviewed and enhanced. This collaborative effort is aimed at reinforcing their long-standing relationship, enhancing capabilities and capacity, and better-serving customers globally. The collaboration between Etihad Engineering and Sanad contributes to Abu Dhabi’s positioning as a global aerospace hub. By combining their expertise and resources, the entities aim to elevate service standards in the aviation industry and enhance Abu Dhabi’s influence in global aviation services.

“We’ve renewed and extended our work with Sanad across multiple areas, increasing our total hangar capacity with the planned acquisition of a hangar from Sanad and leasing additional hangar space and engine storage areas to Sanad to serve their operational needs,” said Daniel Hoffmann, CEO of Etihad Engineering. “Our Shared Services agreement with Sanad was reviewed and enhanced to enable us to strengthen our long-standing relationship, increase our capabilities and capacity, serve our customers from around the world better, and strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a global aerospace hub,” he further added.
