Mohammad Lootah, a UAE national, has been with Emirates since 2016. He has held various management roles across the Middle East, including in Dubai, Riyadh, Kuwait, and Jordan.

Emirates appoints Mohammad Lootah as country manager for Switzerland, succeeding Juerg Mueller after 16 years.

Emirates has appointed Mohammad Lootah as its new Country Manager for Switzerland, effective July 2, 2024. He will be based at Emirates’ Zurich office. In his role, Lootah will oversee the airline’s business operations in Switzerland. Moreover, This includes managing sales and service functions for passenger and airport operations. Emirates operates double-daily flights between Zurich, Geneva, and its global hub in Dubai.

Mohammad Lootah, a UAE national, has been with Emirates since 2016. He has held various management roles across the Middle East, including in Dubai, Riyadh, Kuwait, and Jordan. His most recent position was Area Manager for Israel. Lootah reports to Thierry Aucoc, Senior Vice President Commercial Operations Europe and Russian Federation.

Mohammad Lootah, said, “I am delighted to be leading Emirates’ operations in Switzerland, one of our key markets in Europe. I look forward to working with the local Emirates team, to foster the close collaboration with our local trade and industry partners in the market and to develop and grow Emirates’ presence in the Swiss market.”

Mohammad Lootah succeeds Juerg Mueller, who significantly contributed to Emirates’ successful operations in Switzerland. Additionally, Mueller held the role for 16 years.

Emirates has been serving Swiss skies, cities, and communities for over 30 years. The airline began flights to Zurich in August 1992. Currently, Emirates operates four daily nonstop flights from Zurich and Geneva. Additionally, This service offers global connectivity via a single stop in Dubai. Moreover, The airline uses a mix of A380 and B777 wide-body aircraft for Swiss routes. Emirates SkyCargo supports trade links with a daily cargo capacity of 100 tons. Starting in mid-August, Geneva will be the first Emirates destination to receive fully refurbished Boeing 777s. Furthermore, These will feature a retrofitted four-class cabin. Additionally, Emirates will introduce Premium Economy Class to continental Europe and debut next-generation 777 Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration.
