Embraer and Portuguese aerospace company OGMA have completed the first scheduled 24-month maintenance inspection of a C-390 Millennium aircraft operated by the Hungarian Air Force, marking an important milestone for the aircraft’s support network in Europe.
The maintenance work was carried out at OGMA’s facilities in Portugal and represents the first major scheduled servicing of a Hungarian Air Force C-390. The achievement follows the recent signing of a services agreement between Embraer and Hungary to support the country’s C-390 Millennium fleet through maintenance, logistics, and technical assistance.
Brigadier General Tamás Bali, Commander of the Hungarian Air Force, praised the collaboration between the organizations, highlighting the smooth execution of the maintenance program and the technical expertise demonstrated throughout the process.
Douglas Lobo, VP of Customer Support and Aftermarket Sales at Embraer Services & Support, said the successful completion of the maintenance event strengthens Embraer’s support capabilities across Europe and reinforces the company’s commitment to ensuring operational readiness and long-term customer satisfaction.
Hungary, the second NATO member to operate the C-390 Millennium, completed delivery of its two-aircraft fleet in November 2025. Since entering service in late 2024, the aircraft has demonstrated strong operational performance across a variety of missions.
The C-390 Millennium is a next-generation multi-mission military transport aircraft capable of conducting cargo and troop transport, medical evacuation, humanitarian assistance, search and rescue, aerial refueling, and precision airdrop operations. Hungary’s aircraft are also the first in the fleet to feature a modular roll-on/roll-off Intensive Care Unit (ICU), enhancing their capability for advanced medical evacuation missions.
The successful maintenance program further strengthens the growing C-390 support infrastructure in Europe as Embraer continues to expand its presence among NATO and international operators.
