Embraer joins Recaro Aircraft Seating to produce seats for E1 and E2 jets.
One of the key advantages of the catalogue is its pre-certified seats, allowing airlines and lessors with short lead times to benefit from quick turnaround times.

The collaboration will feature Recaro’s BL3710 and SL3710 economy class seats on Embraer E1 and E2 aircraft, which will be made available for both linefit and retrofit configurations.

Embraer and Recaro Aircraft Seating have recently announced a partnership aimed at developing a Supplier Furnished Equipment (SFE) catalogue of seats for E1 and E2 aircraft. This collaboration will feature Recaro’s popular BL3710 and SL3710 economy class seats, which will be made available for both linefit and retrofit configurations. The development of the SFE catalogue is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2023, with the seats becoming eligible for offers by mid-2024. One of the key advantages of the catalogue is its pre-certified seats, allowing airlines and lessors with short lead times to benefit from quick turnaround times.

Dr. Mark Hiller, CEO, Recaro Aircraft Seating and Recaro Holding said, “Embraer choosing Recaro to provide seats for the catalogue is a nod to our strong partnership and how well our high-quality products work together to elevate the passenger experience. Our entrance into the regional jet market has generated great feedback and our seats now being featured in an SFE catalogue will help us take our customer support to the next level.”

He also highlighted the positive feedback received since Recaro’s entrance into the regional jet market, emphasizing that the inclusion of their seats in an SFE catalogue will further enhance customer support.

The Recaro catalogue will leverage the company’s distinguished heritage in seat ergonomics, reliability, and low weight to ensure comfortable journeys for passengers and optimal operational costs for airlines. The catalogue will primarily feature the BL3710 and SL3710 seats, both of which are well-suited for short and mid-range flights. The BL3710 offers various optional features, including an in-seat power supply system (ISPSS), a tablet holder, a unique six-way headrest, and a maximum 5-inch recline. On the other hand, the SL3710 provides options for ISPSS and two backrest angles, with different plastic and dress cover color combinations available.

Roberto Chaves, Chief Procurement Officer, Embraer said, “Joining forces with Recaro Aircraft Seating means Embraer can offer more alternatives to our customers, making our products even more attractive. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to enhancing the passenger experience and delivering unparalleled value to our clients. The Recaro seats add another dimension to our interiors, more choice and less weight for our customers, and more comfort and amenities for their passengers.”
