Patterson will be under the supervision of Martyn Holmes, who serves as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Embraer Commercial Aviation.
Nigel Patterson has been announced as the new Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Head of Region for North America at Embraer Commercial Aviation. Effective from June 1, 2023, Patterson will be reporting to Martyn Holmes, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Embraer Commercial Aviation.
With an impressive sales leadership background of over 20 years in North America, having worked at Airbus and Certified Aviation Services, Patterson is widely respected within the industry. His expertise in sales has resulted in successful agreements with major U.S. airlines such as Delta Air Lines, Spirit Airlines, Virgin America, Hawaiian Airlines, and Allegiant Air.
“North America is a critical market for Embraer, where the E175 is the backbone of the regional network, with over 620 aircraft sold, and 86% market share. Embraer aircraft deliver essential connectivity to 206 airports in the US alone”, said Martyn Holmes, CCO, Embraer Commercial Aviation. “This is an exciting phase for Embraer in North America – the E175 dominates its segment, and the E2 is proving a huge success at Porter Airlines, the North American launch customer with 50 E2s set to join their fleet.
