Embraer and Mubadala Investment Company have signed a strategic framework agreement to strengthen aerospace collaboration in the United Arab Emirates, focusing on manufacturing, maintenance, workforce development and advanced research.
The agreement, signed during the Farnborough International Airshow, supports the UAE’s long-term industrial development goals while expanding Embraer’s regional presence and strengthening its global supply chain.
As part of the partnership, Strata Manufacturing is expected to become a tier-one supplier for Embraer aircraft programmes, enhancing the UAE’s role in the global aerospace manufacturing ecosystem. The agreement also creates opportunities for Sanad to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for Embraer aircraft operators across the Gulf region and neighbouring markets.

Beyond manufacturing and MRO, the collaboration includes initiatives to develop local aerospace talent through engineering training, knowledge transfer programmes and placements at Embraer’s facilities. The companies will also work together on research into next-generation aerostructures, advanced materials, additive manufacturing and composite technologies.
The partnership aligns with the UAE’s broader strategy to expand its aerospace sector, strengthen domestic industrial capabilities and reinforce Abu Dhabi’s position as a global centre for advanced manufacturing and aviation innovation.
