Embraer and FlightSafety International have jointly unveiled a new Praetor full-flight simulator located in Orlando, Florida. This simulator has already received qualification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), with initial training available for customers in September 2023 and recurrent training scheduled to commence in October 2023. In addition to this announcement, Embraer and FlightSafety International have disclosed plans for a fourth Praetor simulator, which will be based in Europe at a yet-to-be-announced location. This fourth simulator is expected to be operational by the end of 2024.

The Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 are considered the most technologically advanced aircraft in their respective categories. The Praetor 500 boasts an intercontinental range of 3,340 nautical miles with four passengers and NBAA IFR Reserves, making it the farthest- and fastest-flying midsize jet. Meanwhile, the Praetor 600 holds the title of the farthest-flying super-midsize jet globally, capable of nonstop flights from Paris to New York or São Paulo to Miami. With four passengers and NBAA IFR Reserves, it has an intercontinental range of 4,018 nautical miles.

“Offering additional training capacity is important for supporting our customers. These two new full-flight simulators bring us even closer to Praetor family pilots and operators in the United States and Europe and will provide us with the opportunity to share our latest technological updates and best-in-class support,” said Carlos Naufel, President & CEO, Embraer Services & Support.

Embraer’s Praetor jets feature an exquisite interior design known as Embraer DNA Design, characterized by a six-foot-tall, flat-floor cabin with stone flooring, a vacuum service lavatory, turbulence reduction capabilities, and a 5,800-foot cabin altitude. High-tech features like the Upper Tech Panel, offering flight information and cabin management functions, and ultra-high-speed connectivity via Viasat’s Ka-band, further elevate the passenger experience.

“FlightSafety is committed to addressing the increasing demand for Embraer Praetor training,” said Nate Speiser, Executive Vice President of FlightSafety Sales and Marketing, Embraer Services & Support. “As Embraer’s training partner, we are proud to announce consecutive simulator deployments in two regions to support the worldwide training demand for this quickly growing fleet,” he further added.
