EGYPTAIR Maintenance & Engineering expands Boeing AHM partnership for 737 MAX fleet

Boeing Airplane Health Management will provide predictive insights across EGYPTAIR’s expanding 737-8 fleet

EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING has expanded its partnership with Boeing to deploy Boeing Airplane Health Management (AHM) across the airline’s growing 737 MAX fleet, strengthening its use of digital tools for predictive maintenance and aircraft health monitoring.

The agreement was announced at the 2026 El-Alamein International Airshow and will extend EGYPTAIR’s existing use of Boeing AHM, which is already deployed across its 787 and 777 fleets.

EGYPTAIR is expanding its 737-8 fleet to 18 aircraft, with the AHM deployment expected to provide maintenance teams with greater visibility into aircraft condition and support more proactive maintenance planning.

Real-Time aircraft health monitoring

Boeing AHM provides continuous, real-time information on aircraft systems and generates predictive insights that can help maintenance teams identify potential issues before they develop into operational disruptions.

For EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING, the system is expected to support efforts to reduce unscheduled delays, improve parts planning and streamline MRO processes.

The technology also provides maintenance teams with diagnostic information that can help technicians make faster and more informed decisions when addressing aircraft issues.

Supporting growing 737 MAX fleet

The expanded AHM deployment comes as EGYPTAIR continues to build its 737-8 fleet, making effective aircraft health monitoring increasingly important as the airline scales its operations.

Captain Ahmed Adel, Chairman & CEO of EGYPTAIR HOLDING, said the expanded partnership with Boeing will incorporate advanced digital solutions into the airline’s operations while maintaining its focus on safety, reliability and efficiency.

Crystal Remfert, Senior Director, Boeing Digital Services, said Boeing is prepared to support EGYPTAIR’s fleet expansion and work closely with its MRO teams to support operational performance.

Eng. Mohamed Samy, Chairman & CEO of EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING, said the deployment will give technicians access to advanced diagnostic capabilities, helping reduce aircraft downtime and maintain performance for EGYPTAIR and its commercial airline customers across the region.

The expanded partnership reflects the growing role of aircraft health monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies in modern MRO operations, as airlines and maintenance organisations look to identify potential issues earlier, improve maintenance planning and maximise aircraft availability.
