Duncan Aviation expands Lincoln facility

Duncan Aviation is marking a major milestone by celebrating the expansion of its Turbine Engine Overhaul Shop in Lincoln, Nebraska, with a whopping 36,000-square-foot facility to strengthen the company’s engine maintenance capabilities and support growing global demand for turbine engine overhaul services.

Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) for the PW300 and PW500 turbofan engine families, the company is increasing its capacity to serve international customers while delivering faster turnaround times and more cost-effective maintenance solutions.

Scott Stoki, Duncan Aviation’s Vice President of Engine Operations, said, “It was wonderful to hear such positive feedback and enthusiasm from so many who toured the facility. This investment in our engine program ensures we will have the capacity to support our customers’ needs for many years to come.”

The dedication event is bringing together state and local officials, airport representatives, OEM partners, customers, construction teams, and employees. During the ceremony, attendees are touring the new facility, where senior leaders are showcasing advanced equipment, streamlined workflows, and modern maintenance operations.

Throughout the day, nearly 200 visitors explore the facility, observe live maintenance activities, and interact directly with technicians. Representatives from Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce are also visiting Duncan Manufacturing Solutions (DMS), the company’s manufacturing division that supports the engine program through service bulletins, complex repairs, and parts manufacturing.

The project is also introducing a dedicated parts inventory warehouse to streamline workflow. Safety and operational improvements include 16 overhead cranes for handling large engine components, upgraded utility infrastructure with enhanced chemical recycling capabilities, and a 12,000-gallon fuel tank with a backup system to maintain uninterrupted test cell operations. New offices, conference rooms, breakrooms, and locker rooms are further enhancing the workplace for employees and customers.

With the expansion now operational, Duncan Aviation is reinforcing its position as a leading provider of turbine engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul services while preparing for future growth in the global aviation market.
