Deutsche Aircraft has strengthened its commercial leadership team with the appointment of Johan Landin as Sales Director, as the regional aircraft manufacturer accelerates the global market development of its next-generation D328eco regional turboprop and D328 Multi-Role (MR) aircraft programmes.
In his new role, Landin will be responsible for leading the company’s commercial growth strategy, expanding customer engagement and supporting the worldwide sales efforts for both the civil and defence variants of the Dornier-based aircraft family. His appointment comes as Deutsche Aircraft continues to position the D328eco as a sustainable regional aviation platform while also expanding opportunities in the defence and special mission segments.
Landin joins Deutsche Aircraft from Saab Group, where he spent more than 15 years in a range of senior commercial and leadership positions. During his tenure, he led several strategic business development initiatives across international markets, including serving as Campaign Director for the Gripen fighter aircraft programme, Head of Marketing & Sales for Air Traffic Management, and most recently as Country Manager, overseeing Saab’s broad product portfolio.
His experience spans aerospace, defence, international sales and business development, with a strong focus on delivering technology-driven solutions, identifying new market opportunities and managing complex customer engagements across global programmes.
Beyond his corporate leadership background, Landin also brings operational aviation experience to the role. As a qualified commercial pilot with experience flying regional turboprop aircraft and operating a pilot recruitment agency, he offers first-hand insight into airline operations and the regional aviation sector—an asset expected to strengthen Deutsche Aircraft’s customer-focused approach.
Commenting on his appointment, Johan Landin, Sales Director at Deutsche Aircraft, said: “I am excited to join the team at such an interesting time. I look forward to contributing my experience to drive the commercial growth of the revolutionary D328eco aircraft and support the next phase of regional aviation.”
Welcoming the appointment, Anastasija Visnakova, Chief Commercial Officer at Deutsche Aircraft, said Landin’s combination of commercial expertise and operational aviation experience would play an important role in the company’s future growth. “Johan brings a unique combination of experience, from international sales in the aerospace industry to first-hand operational expertise as a commercial pilot. His leadership will be instrumental as we expand our global footprint and deliver innovative solutions to our customers.”
Echoing the sentiment, Nils Heuer, Director Global Sales at Deutsche Aircraft, said Landin’s customer-centric approach and extensive international business experience would strengthen the company’s engagement with operators and strategic partners. “Johan’s experience across aerospace, multi-role and commercial aviation makes him an excellent addition to our sales team. His customer-centric mindset, background as a pilot and international business expertise will strengthen our engagement with operators and partners as we scale the market presence of the D328eco programme.”
Landin holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, and will be based in Stockholm, supporting Deutsche Aircraft’s commercial activities across key international markets.

The appointment reflects Deutsche Aircraft’s continued focus on strengthening its global sales organisation as it advances certification and market entry plans for the D328eco, while simultaneously expanding opportunities for its D328 Multi-Role (MR) platform in defence, surveillance, humanitarian and special mission applications.
With growing demand for fuel-efficient regional aircraft and increasing interest in versatile multi-role aviation platforms, Deutsche Aircraft is positioning itself to strengthen its presence across both commercial and government aviation markets through an expanded international sales strategy.
