Dan Robinson brings extensive military and aerospace experience to lead Summit Aviation’s global military sales operations effectively.
Summit Aviation is pleased to announce Dan Robinson’s appointment as the new Director of Military Sales. In this role, Mr. Robinson will manage Summit’s military sales operations. He will cater to both domestic and international government clients.
Mr. Robinson brings a distinguished career as a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel. He has over two decades of experience in aviation operations and aerospace. Furthermore, his background includes foreign military sales and diplomacy. Previously, Mr. Robinson served as a U.S. Diplomat in Southeast Asia. His focus there was on foreign policy, foreign military sales, and security cooperation. Additionally, he has specialized training in CH-47 and C12 aircraft, which adds significant value to Summit Aviation.
Tom Lark, vice president and general manager for Summit Aviation, said, “Dan’s extensive military and aerospace background, combined with his leadership skills and deep understanding of MRO, make him an important contributor to our team. We are confident that he will assist Summit in the direction of significant growth and success in our military sales efforts.”
Before joining Summit Aviation, Mr. Robinson held key sales and leadership positions at GBG Group, IDology, and JTEK Data Solutions. His extensive military and civilian experience was instrumental in driving success in these roles.
Mr. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Towson University and an MBA from Auburn University. Additionally, he earned a Management Certificate from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He will be based in Huntsville, Alabama.
