Dallas News Wrap – DAY 1

MRO Americas is a top-level conference & exhibition that fosters networking, relationship building and knowledge exchange.

The following agreements/announcements are being made at MRO Americas 2022, organized in Dallas, MRO Business Today is the media partner of MRO Americas.

1.  Landing Gear Technologies (LGT) and ITS have entered into a Strategic Cooperation Agreement to support the 737 New Gen market with 737-700/800 Landing Gear solutions. ITS’s strategic fleet retirement solutions on the 737 New Gen platform combined with LGT’s world-class capabilities on 737 New Gen landing gear maintenance will further establish reliable, global support for 737 New Genoperators. 

2. M.I.T Instruments, a U.S.-based manufacturer of advanced test and measurement equipment, introduces the PBS eXpress aircraft engine vibration analysis and balancing system. The PBS eXpressis designed to optimize small-frame turbofan and turboprop engines, commonly utilized in regional jets, business jets, and general aviation.

3. Canada Jetlines has selected Safran Landing Systems wheels and carbon brakes to equip its Airbus A320 fleet. Under the long-term agreement, Safran Landing Systems will supply wheels, brakes, and carbon heat sinks manufactured in its US-based plant in Walton, Kentucky, while the maintenance and logistics services will be provided by Hope Aero Propeller & Components, Canada’s leading wheels & brakes MRO specialist. Canada Jetlines is the new all-Canadian leisure carrier, with travel targeted for summer 2022 to serve several Canadian, US, Caribbean, and Mexico destinations from its main hub in Toronto, Ontario.

4.   Mick Adams, CEO of STS Aviation Services, is being presented with Aviation Week’s Lifetime Achievement Award in MRO at MRO Americas 2022 this week. Adams in his career have handled leadership roles at Monarch Aircraft Engineering and Etihad Airways Engineering.

5. Safran and AJW Group signed a contract to maintain electrical power generators, electrical contactors and ventilation systems equipment. This contract covers more than 350 Airbus A320 and A330, including AJW Group’s flagship customers’ fleets.

6. Topcast Group (Topcast) and VSE Aviation (VSE) announced thesigning a memorandum of understanding (M oU) on the first day of MRO Americas 2022, to explore opportunities and develop improved global solutions and further enhance their respective portfolios of distribution offerings in the market.
