Engine Alliance, a JV between Pratt & Whitney and GE, is responsible for the development, production, and service of the GP7200 engine, the premier engine for the Airbus A380 jet.

CTS Engines (CTS), a leading provider of aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, has announced its selection to provide MRO services for Engine Alliance (EA) on the GP7200 turbofan jet engine. EA, a joint venture between Pratt & Whitney and General Electric, is responsible for the development, production, and service of the GP7200 engine, which is renowned as the premier engine for the Airbus A380 aircraft.

The GP7200 engine stands out for its exceptional combination of reliability and ingenuity derived from the PW4000 and GE90 engines, offering the A380 the most fuel-efficient and quietest powerplant available. Recognizing the increasing demand for aftermarket services and customer support, Engine Alliance shifted its operational focus in 2019, making this partnership with CTS Engines crucial to meet the high expectations of their customers.
