The new subsidiary, CSI Indonesia will focus on serving CSI’s existing global clientele, as well as seeking opportunities for leasing with local organizations.
CSI Leasing, Inc., a prominent independent leasing company, has extended its presence in the Asia-Pacific region by establishing a subsidiary in Jakarta, Indonesia. The opening of PT CSI Renting Indonesia marks the third subsidiary of CSI Leasing in the region, following the inauguration of CSI Leasing (Thailand) Ltd. and CSI Leasing Taiwan LLC earlier this year. With the addition of Indonesia, CSI Leasing now operates in 10 countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region and caters to clients in more than 50 countries worldwide.
CSI Indonesia will focus on serving CSI’s existing global clientele, as well as seeking opportunities for leasing with local organizations. Rio Wicaksono, a finance veteran with almost 20 years of experience, will manage the new entity. Rio most recently served as a director at PT Century Tokyo Leasing Indonesia, a subsidiary of Tokyo Century Corporation, and holds a master’s degree in financial management from the University of Indonesia and a bachelor’s degree in business/managerial economics from the University of Trisakti.
“Our newest subsidiary in Indonesia is just another example of how CSI’s Asia-Pacific operations are continuing to expand at a rapid pace,” said Cheng Chiin Ong, director and CEO of Asia-Pacific, CSI Leasing, Inc. “The team in Asia recently gathered for our annual fiscal year kickoff meeting where the theme was ‘Raising the Bar.’ With our growth in footprint and increased sales results, I believe our team has raised the bar very high. I am excited to see what’s in store for us next,” he further added.
In 2022, CSI’s Asia-Pacific operations experienced significant growth, with a 30% increase in fair market value lease originations and an 18% increase in overall lease originations from the previous year. With the establishment of CSI Indonesia, the company seeks to capitalize on Indonesia’s rapidly growing economy and provide leasing services to both domestic and international clients.
