Condor has expanded its Executive Management Board with the appointment of a new chief commercial officer (CCO) and chief financial officer (CFO) as the airline continues its network expansion strategy.
The airline’s Supervisory Board has appointed Dr. Pierre Dominique Prümm as CCO, effective August 1, 2026. He will oversee network planning and partnerships, revenue management, cargo, sales and e-commerce functions.
Condor has also named Dag Jessel as CFO, effective July 6, 2026. He succeeds Björn Walther, who is stepping down after requesting to leave the company earlier this year.
The appointments increase Condor’s Executive Management Board to five members and come as the airline advances its transformation from a leisure-focused carrier into a broader network airline.
Chief executive officer Peter Gerber said the creation of the CCO role reflects the growing complexity of commercial operations as Condor expands its route network.
“As Condor continues to evolve into a network airline through the expansion of its city network, the requirements for commercial management, coordination and strategic development are increasing significantly,” Gerber said.
Prümm joins Condor from Fraport, where he most recently served as Executive Board Member for Aviation and Infrastructure. During his tenure, he was responsible for operational and strategic activities at Frankfurt Airport and held leadership roles focused on strategy, business development and infrastructure projects.
Commenting on his appointment, Prümm said: “The transformation into a network airline opens up numerous new opportunities and economic prospects for Condor. I am therefore very much looking forward to contributing to Condor’s strategic development and helping shape the airline’s commercial future in this new role.”
Jessel brings experience from senior finance and management positions across industrial and service-sector companies. His aviation background includes finance, human resources and mergers and acquisitions roles at Lufthansa, as well as responsibilities in engineering, cost management and process improvement.
“Over the past several years, Condor has established the strategic foundations necessary to continue its structural and economic development,” Jessel said. “Driving this progress forward is a responsibility I am very pleased to take on.”
Outgoing CFO Björn Walther has held the role since June 2022 and played a key role in the airline’s financial restructuring and development following its separation from former ownership structures.
Following the appointments, Condor’s Executive Management Board will comprise CEO Peter Gerber, CFO Dag Jessel, COO Christian Schmitt, CCO Dr. Pierre Dominique Prümm and CTO Heiko Holm.
