7 OCTOBER 2020: In a recent announcement by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Collins Aerospace was named as the 2019 Elite Supplier of Wheels & Brakes. The award was for the recognition of their work in Troy, Ohio facility that supplies wheels and carbon brakes for a number of Lockheed Martin platforms, including the F-16 Fighting Falcon, U-2 Dragon Lady and LM-100J, a derivative of the C-130J-30 Super Hercules. Collins Aerospace’s Wheels & Brakes unit was previously named a Lockheed Martin Elite Supplier in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
“Collins Aerospace is honoured to receive this prestigious award from Lockheed Martin, which serves as a testament to the on-going hard work and dedication of our entire Wheels and Brakes workforce,” said Matt Maurer, vice president and general manager, Military Landing Systems for Collins Aerospace. “Lockheed Martin is a key customer for our business, and we look forward to continuing to provide industry-leading wheels and carbon brakes for key aircraft in the years to come.”

Lockheed Martin recognized 77 small and large businesses that averaged 99 per cent on-time deliveries and zero quality defects in 2019. These businesses represent the top one per cent of more than 15,800 active Lockheed Martin suppliers.
