C&L Aviation Group named Héroux-Devtek repair station for CRJ and Challenger Flutter Dampers

C&L Aerospace, part of C&L Aviation Group, has been selected by Héroux-Devtek as a factory-authorized repair station for flutter dampers installed on Bombardier CRJ and Challenger 604, 605, and 650 aircraft.

Under the authorization, C&L will perform repairs and testing using Héroux-Devtek OEM parts, maintenance manuals, and engineering support. The program covers flutter dampers, which are flight-control components used to help prevent unwanted aircraft control-surface oscillations.

C&L operates an FAA, EASA, UK CAA, and TCCA-approved component facility in Bangor, Maine. The facility is also certified to ISO 9001:2015 and AS9110 standards and has experience repairing hydraulic and flight-control components.

The company will use OEM-approved tooling and test equipment for the Héroux-Devtek repairs. C&L also maintains an inventory of OEM parts and an exchange pool to support operators requiring replacement components and reduce aircraft downtime.

Completed units will be released with FAA Form 8130-3 and EASA Dual Release documentation.

“C&L has demonstrated a strong track record in delivering reliable support to our customers, and this expanded authorization reflects the confidence we have built together,” said Marc-Olivier Gagnon, Vice President, Product Support at Héroux-Devtek. “This step enhances our ability to provide consistent, OEM-backed repair solutions with the speed and quality our customers expect.”

Chris Kilgour, CEO of C&L Aviation Group, said, “This authorization reflects our long partnership with Héroux-Devtek and our investment in OEM-approved tooling, test equipment, and highly trained technicians.”

Repairs under the new authorization are already underway at C&L’s Bangor facility.
