CFM International will provide the LEAP-1A engines to power easyJet’s new fleet of 157 Airbus jets comprising 56 A320neo and 101 A321neo family aircraft with deliveries set from 2029.

CFM International has solidified its long-standing partnership with Leading European carrier easyJet by securing orders for LEAP-1A engines to power easyJet’s fleet of 157 Airbus A320neo family aircraft. The order comprises 56 A320neo and 101 A321neo aircraft, set to be delivered from 2029. The agreement also includes spare engines and a multi-year services agreement. The initial aircraft order was announced in December 2023.

This move reinforces a successful collaboration of over 25 years between easyJet and CFM International. The airline currently operates 257 Airbus A320ceos powered by CFM56-5B engines and 69 A320neos with LEAP-1A engines. The decision to continue with CFM engines underlines the reliability and performance that easyJet has experienced with its existing CFM-powered fleet.
