Cebu Pacific has signed a wet lease agreement with Vietnam Airlines to provide one Airbus A320neo during the peak summer travel season, strengthening regional cooperation as travel demand continues to rise across Southeast Asia.
Under the agreement, the Pratt & Whitney-powered Airbus A320neo will be based in Ho Chi Minh City from July 15 to September 7, 2026. The aircraft will be operated by Cebu Pacific’s flight and cabin crews on Vietnam Airlines’ domestic routes serving Cam Ranh, Phu Quoc, Vinh and Da Nang.
Mark Cezar, CFO of Cebu Pacific, said the partnership reflects the growing opportunities for airlines in the region to work together in addressing seasonal demand.

“Vietnam and the broader Southeast Asian market continue to see strong growth in air travel, creating opportunities for airlines to collaborate more closely in meeting demand,” Cezar said.
He added that Cebu Pacific’s expanding fleet allows the airline to deploy capacity strategically, including through wet lease partnerships during periods of lower travel demand in the Philippines.
The agreement further strengthens Cebu Pacific’s growing wet lease business, following similar aircraft leasing arrangements with Bulgaria Air and Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier flyadeal. The latest partnership highlights the airline’s strategy of maximizing fleet utilization while supporting regional carriers during peak travel periods.
