CDB Aviation has completed the delivery of five Airbus A321-271NX aircraft to LATAM Airlines Group, expanding the lessor’s partnership with the South American carrier.
The aircraft were delivered under leasing agreements signed with LATAM in 2025 and are powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines. With the completion of the mandate, CDB Aviation now has six A321neo aircraft on lease to LATAM.
CDB Aviation expands LATAM partnership
The latest deliveries strengthen the relationship between CDB Aviation, the wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing, and LATAM, the largest airline group in South America.
“We are pleased to have delivered the last of five A321neo aircraft to LATAM Airlines Group, a global leader in the airline industry and relatively new, yet highly valued, customer for CDB Aviation,” said Jorge Garcia, Senior Vice President, Commercial, Americas at CDB Aviation.
He added that the transaction further deepens the lessor’s relationship with LATAM and expands its presence in the South American aviation market.
A321neo supports LATAM’s network strategy
The addition of the five aircraft supports LATAM’s strategy of introducing newer, more fuel-efficient aircraft to its fleet. The A321neo is expected to help the airline reduce operating costs and carbon emissions while providing greater flexibility across its network.
With its extended range and operating efficiency, the A321neo can enable LATAM to develop economically viable direct routes connecting destinations across South America with markets in the Caribbean and North America.
The aircraft also provide the airline with additional capacity as demand for air travel continues to grow across the region.

CDB Aviation targets Latin American growth
The deliveries further strengthen CDB Aviation’s commercial footprint in Latin America, a market the lessor identifies as an area of growing opportunity.
Garcia said the transaction reflects CDB Aviation’s expanding presence and commercial outreach across the region as airlines look to capitalise on increasing passenger demand and network expansion opportunities.
The lessor said it will continue working with South American carriers to support fleet growth and modernisation as airlines seek more efficient aircraft to meet evolving market requirements.
The completion of the LATAM delivery programme therefore marks another step in CDB Aviation’s expansion across Latin America while supporting LATAM’s fleet modernisation and network development plans.
