24 September 2020: COVID-19 pandemic has been hard on everyone. In this crisis where social distancing is the new norm, training pilots and other aerospace professions. To overcome this, CAE has come up with a digital platform and online community for pilots. CAE’s digital team surveyed over 3,000 pilots in April 2020 and developed this new digital platform called Airside. More than 10,000 visitors have accessed Airside since the digital platform first went live in June 2020. Airside provides career and training tools to support pilots during the COVID-19 pandemic, and throughout their professional career.

It has sections like Resume Builder, Career section, articles, podcast, and much more. It is designed to help pilots improve their skills and advance their careers in a community environment where professional pilots have resources and support to help them succeed. In addition to connecting proficiency and career opportunities for professional pilots, Airside solicits constant feedback with surveys to help ensure to create relevant content for the platform.
Apart from this CAE has also launched a new financing initiative for aspiring pilots in collaboration with financial institutions around the world. With this initiative, CAE is connecting aspiring pilots with banking partners that offer specific financing solutions for pilot training, making the profession more accessible to those who wish to pursue their dream of flying for a living.
