Braathens Regional Airlines to extend its JetSpares contract with BAE Systems

BAE Systems Regional Aircraft has won a two-year extension with its JetSpares deal with Braathens Regional Airlines in support of the airline’s fleet of 12 Avro RJ regional jetliners. Braathens Regional Airlines is the longest-standing JetSpares customer of BAE Systems having first entered the programme in April 1996. Since then the agreement has been renewed on many occasions. The new agreement now covers 621 parts over the 12 aircraft fleet, which includes 10 Avro RJ100s and two RJ85s.

JertSpares is a customised rotable spares support rate-per- flying-hour support agreement designed to allow Braathens Regional Airlines to focus on its flight operations while BAE Systems Regional Aircraft will take care of spares inventory, logistics and repairs.

Braathens Regional Airlines provides a wide-ranging schedule of domestic services from its hub at Stockholm-Bromma Airport to many destinations of which Malmo, Gothenburg and Umea are served by the RJ100. The airline also operates charter services to more than 60 destinations across Europe and offers ACMI services with its two RJ85s.
