Boeing and AirNav collaborative agreement aims to optimize aircraft movement and reduce fuel consumption for a safer and more sustainable aviation system in Indonesia

In an effort to bolster the safety and efficiency of Indonesia’s national air traffic management system, Boeing has entered into a collaborative agreement with AirNav Indonesia. The partnership aims to explore various initiatives that will enhance airport and flight operations, ultimately contributing to a safer and more sustainable aviation system in Indonesia. These initiatives include optimizing aircraft movement and reducing fuel consumption.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signifies the merging of Boeing’s engineering expertise with the Indonesian government’s strategic plans in airspace management, training, and air traffic management. Working closely with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Indonesia, local airlines, airport operators, and other stakeholders in the aviation sector, Boeing and AirNav will drive forward these improvements.

“AirNav Indonesia is focused on making sure that our airspace system adopts and maintains the highest levels of safety while fostering the growth of Indonesia’s civil aviation industry,” said Mdm. Polana B. Pramesti, President Director of AirNav Indonesia“Airspace capacity and air traffic management is a shared interest between Boeing and AirNav and a natural space where we need to cooperate. We look forward to this collaboration with Boeing,” she further added.

Boeing’s collaboration with Indonesia spans over 74 years, focusing on bolstering aerospace and defense capabilities through training, supply chain development, and joint ventures. Today, Boeing’s presence in Indonesia extends to commercial aviation, defense, space, supply chain operations, and academia partnerships.
