New-generation narrowbodies to support fleet modernisation and network expansion from 2028
BOC Aviation has signed a lease agreement with Turkish low-cost carrier AJet for five Airbus A321neo aircraft, further strengthening its long-standing relationship with the Turkish Airlines Group and supporting the airline’s future growth strategy.
The aircraft will be sourced from BOC Aviation’s existing orderbook and are scheduled for delivery in 2028. Powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, the new-generation narrowbody aircraft will support AJet’s fleet modernisation programme while enabling network expansion across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

Paul Kent, CCO of BOC Aviation, said the agreement builds on the lessor’s established partnership with the Turkish Airlines Group.
“We are pleased to further strengthen our long-standing relationship with the Turkish Airlines Group by extending our partnership to include its rapidly growing family member, AJet,” Kent said. “These new-generation A321neo aircraft will complement AJet’s existing fleet, enhancing its continued network expansion across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, and we look forward to supporting its success in the years ahead.”
AJet CEO Kerem Sarp said the agreement marks the beginning of a new partnership between the two companies and supports the airline’s long-term growth objectives.
“We are delighted to begin our cooperation with BOC Aviation through this agreement. As AJet continues its growth journey, the addition of new-generation A321neo aircraft will play an important role in supporting our fleet modernisation, network expansion and sustainability goals. This agreement represents an important step in our commitment to expanding our network and providing an even better travel experience for our guests,” Sarp said.
The latest lease agreement reflects continued demand for fuel-efficient next-generation aircraft as airlines pursue fleet renewal strategies to reduce operating costs, improve environmental performance and expand capacity. For BOC Aviation, the transaction further reinforces its position as a leading global aircraft lessor while supporting AJet’s ambitions to strengthen its presence across key regional markets.
