BOC Aviation Limited, an aircraft operating leasing company recently announced that the company has delivered a new single Boeing 787-8 aircraft to a major US-based airline, American Airlines. The delivered Boeing 787-8 aircraft is powered by the General Electric GEnx engines. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is an American wide-body jet airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

The Boeing 787-8 aircraft is the first airliner with an airframe primarily made of composite materials and makes extensive use of electrical systems. Externally, it is recognizable by its four-window cockpit, raked wingtips, and noise-reducing chevrons on its engine nacelles. Development and production rely increasingly on subcontractors around the world, with final assembly at Boeing South Carolina in North Charleston, after having also been assembled in the Boeing Everett Factory in Washington until March 2021.

“We are delighted to have recommenced deliveries of the Boeing 787 aircraft,” said Mr. Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, BOC Aviation. “We look forward to further deliveries for American Airlines and to providing our airline customers with one of the world’s favourite new technology twin-aisle aircraft,” he further added.
