Partnership combines advanced UAV platforms and C4ISR technology to support defence, infrastructure monitoring and emergency response missions
Beyond Vision and Romanian UAV integrator and operator La Orizont have announced a strategic partnership to deploy advanced autonomous drone solutions for defence, critical infrastructure and emergency response applications in Romania.
Luís Miguel Campos, Chairman of Beyond Vision, said the partnership would help convert advanced autonomous technologies into practical solutions tailored to operational requirements.
“Advanced technological capabilities alone don’t close a deal or solve a problem. Local knowledge and customer trust do,” Campos said. He added, “Teaming up with La Orizont allows us to turn complex technology into easy-to-use, customised solutions for the people who benefit from them the most.”
The collaboration brings together Beyond Vision’s autonomous drone platforms and C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) capabilities with La Orizont’s local operational expertise and market knowledge. The partnership aims to provide Romanian organisations with drone systems designed to support complex missions across civilian and defence sectors.
The autonomous platforms will support a range of applications, including power grid inspections, logistics operations, wildfire detection, search and rescue missions, disaster response, and continuous maritime and border surveillance.
Beyond Vision and La Orizont recently demonstrated their integrated capabilities at major defence and security events in Romania. At the Black Sea Defense & Aerospace exhibition, where around 40,000 professionals and 700 companies participated, the companies showcased their combined drone technologies. The systems were subsequently tested by military personnel during the Operational Experimentation multinational military exercise, participating in live tactical scenarios alongside NATO partners.
Ciprian Iorga, Founder of La Orizont, said the partnership would strengthen the capabilities available to Romanian defence and emergency response organisations.
“Bringing Beyond Vision’s autonomous networks and C4ISR capabilities into the mix means we can give our defence and emergency teams the exact equipment they need to act faster and safer,” Iorga added.

The drone platforms combine autonomous flight capabilities with advanced C4ISR networks, enabling aircraft to operate independently while delivering real-time intelligence to ground operators, military commanders and emergency response teams. The technology allows multiple drones to coordinate missions, monitor designated areas and provide actionable data without requiring continuous manual control.
The partnership represents a long-term initiative to support Romania’s development of autonomous systems for both defence and civilian applications, while enhancing capabilities in surveillance, infrastructure protection and emergency management.
