Bell Textron Inc., a subsidiary of Textron Inc., has announced the signing of a purchase agreement for the first Bell 407GXi helicopter in Turkey. The aircraft will be acquired by Turkish customer Sancak Air, adding to their existing fleet, which includes a Bell 430 and a 206 model. The Bell 407GXi has gained popularity among customers in the European region. During the HAI Heli-Expo 2023, Bell announced additional signed purchase agreements for the Bell 407GXi, including two for corporate customers in the UK, one for Zeus Essential Holding Limited in Ireland, and four for the Polish National Police (PNP).
The Bell 407GXi is equipped with a Rolls-Royce M250-C47E/4 dual-channel FADEC turbine engine, delivering impressive performance and fuel efficiency. It has a cruise speed of 133 knots (246 km/h) and is equipped with the latest Garmin G1000H NXi Integrated Flight Deck, featuring high-resolution displays, faster processors, and connectivity with tablets and smartphones.
