Bell Textron Inc., has announced the signing of a purchase agreement for two Bell 407GXis with the Louisiana State Police that provides aerial support to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies within the state.
Bell Textron Inc., a renowned company under the Textron Inc. umbrella, has recently announced the signing of a purchase agreement for two Bell 407GXis with the Louisiana State Police. The Bell 407 series has established itself as a reliable platform with over 1,500 units operating globally and accumulating over six million total fleet flight hours. The Bell 407GXi boasts impressive performance and fuel efficiency, capable of cruising at 133 knots (246 km/h). Its Garmin G1000H NXi Flight Deck enhances situational awareness and reduces pilot workload by providing easily accessible information at a glance.
Louisiana State Police’s Air Support Unit plays a crucial role in providing aerial support to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies within the state. The addition of two new Bell 407GXis will further enhance their public safety mission portfolio. In addition to these new acquisitions, the Air Support Unit already utilizes a diverse fleet, including a Bell 407GXP, two Bell 430s, a Bell 206L-IV Long Ranger, and a Bell 206B-III Jet Ranger, all equipped with Night Vision Goggles (NVG), Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) cameras, and Trakka Beam and Night Sun searchlights.
