BeauTech Power Systems has entered into a 10-year engine leasing framework agreement with Group Engine Management GmbH (GEM), the Lufthansa Group’s dedicated engine management company, strengthening a long-standing partnership and enhancing access to critical engine assets for airline operations.
Under the agreement, GEM will be able to leverage BeauTech’s engine leasing capabilities to support operational flexibility and meet evolving fleet requirements across the Lufthansa Group’s airline portfolio. The framework is expected to facilitate future leasing opportunities involving a range of commercial aircraft engine platforms, including CF34, CFM56, GTF and LEAP engines.
The long-term arrangement establishes a strategic foundation for future engine lease transactions between the two companies and reflects their shared commitment to supporting airline operations amid changing market and maintenance demands.
“This agreement represents an important milestone in the relationship between BeauTech and GEM,” said Tobias Konrad, Chief Operating Officer of BeauTech. “The Lufthansa Group has been a valued partner since BeauTech’s early days and has played an important role in the development of our business. We are proud to support GEM with flexible and reliable engine leasing solutions, and this agreement underscores the trust that has been built between our organizations over many years of successful cooperation.”
Michael Kaye, Managing Director of Group Engine Management GmbH, highlighted the importance of reliable engine availability in maintaining airline operations.
“Access to reliable engine capacity is an important component of supporting the operational requirements of the Lufthansa Group airlines,” Kaye said. “This agreement strengthens our ability to respond to changing fleet and maintenance needs while working with a trusted and experienced leasing partner.”
The agreement follows several months of collaboration between the two organisations and marks the latest step in an ongoing relationship focused on supporting fleet efficiency and operational resilience across the Lufthansa Group.
