Azorra completes acquisition of JetBlue’s Embraer E190 fleet and engine portfolio

Azorra has completed the acquisition of 13 Embraer E190 aircraft and 36 General Electric CF34-10E6 engines from JetBlue, marking a significant expansion of its aircraft and engine leasing portfolio.

The transaction follows the execution of a purchase agreement between the two companies in July 2025. Azorra said it is already placing the acquired aircraft and engines with customers worldwide, further strengthening its global presence and supporting growing demand for serviceable aviation assets.

Oscar Miörner, Senior VP – Trading & Sustainability at Azorra, said the acquisition reflects the company’s ability to deliver tailored solutions for airline partners while pursuing strategic investments.

“This milestone acquisition demonstrates our ability to deliver creative solutions for our airline partners and highlights our focus on high-quality, strategic investments. JetBlue’s collaboration and support have made this transaction seamless and highly efficient, and we look forward to strengthening our relationship as we continue to scale,” Miörner said.

The acquisition also expands Azorra’s engine portfolio at a time when airlines continue to face engine shortages and maintenance bottlenecks.

Shahin Mehrabanzad, VP – Engine Programs and Support Solutions at Azorra, said increasing the company’s engine inventory aligns with its long-term strategy to support operators navigating ongoing supply chain challenges.

“Expanding our engine portfolio and deepening our presence is a part of our long-term plan. We see a clear opportunity to better support customers dealing with engine shortages and maintenance delays by providing high-quality, serviceable engines. This latest acquisition with JetBlue reflects both the strength of our partnership and our continued focus on these high-demand assets,” Mehrabanzad said.

As of June 2026, Azorra’s portfolio of owned, managed, and committed aircraft and engines exceeds 300 assets, underscoring the company’s continued growth in the global aviation leasing market.
