Avolon is committed to having 75% of its fleet comprised of new technology aircraft by 2025.

Avolon, a global aircraft leasing company, has successfully delivered its 100th Airbus A320neo to Cebu Pacific, one of the leading low-cost carriers in the Asia Pacific region. The delivery is part of an agreement made in early 2023 for Cebu Pacific to lease three new A320neos, with the third aircraft scheduled to be delivered in the later part of May 2023. Avolon currently has 12 aircraft on lease with Cebu Pacific.

Avolon is committed to having 75% of its fleet comprised of new technology aircraft by 2025, and with commitments to purchase an additional 184 A320neo family aircraft as of March 31, 2023, the company is on track to achieve this goal. The A320neo is a highly fuel-efficient aircraft that delivers a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to previous-generation Airbus aircraft.

Paul Geaney, President and Chief Commercial Officer, Avolon said: “As one of the largest A320neo family aircraft customers, today’s announcement marks an important milestone in our long-standing partnership with Airbus. We are also delighted to further strengthen our relationship with Cebu Pacific, supporting both the evolution of its fleet and sustainability objectives. It is great to see our customers in Asia increasing their fleet size to meet the high demand for travel in the region.”

The A320neo family of aircraft is designed to provide airlines with increased fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and lower operating costs. Its advanced technologies and aerodynamics result in a significant reduction in fuel consumption, noise levels, and carbon emissions, making it an ideal choice for airlines looking to enhance their sustainability profile.

Alex Reyes, Chief Strategy Officer, Cebu Pacific said, “The delivery of this latest A320neo aircraft reflects our continued progress towards our goal of transitioning to a more fuel-efficient fleet. We are looking forward to completing this delivery order with Avolon, which will help further strengthening our position as one of Asia Pacific’s leading low-cost carriers.”
