Avolon reported strong operational and financial performance during the second quarter of 2026, driven by increased leasing activity, fleet optimisation and an improved credit profile.
During the quarter, the company executed 46 lease agreements, lease extensions and amendments, reflecting continued demand for its aircraft portfolio and ongoing fleet management activity across airline customers.
Avolon acquired 21 aircraft and completed the sale of 30 aircraft during the period. At the end of the quarter, the company had also reached agreements to sell an additional 109 aircraft, supporting its portfolio optimisation strategy.
The lessor continued to advance the placement of its future fleet by securing commitments for nine new-technology aircraft. As a result, 80% of its committed aircraft deliveries are now placed through the end of 2028, providing increased visibility into future fleet deployment.
Avolon ended the second quarter with an owned, managed and committed fleet of 1,117 aircraft, reinforcing its position as one of the world’s leading aircraft leasing companies.
On the financial front, the company received an upgraded BBB issuer credit rating from S&P Global Ratings, bringing it in line with its existing Baa2 rating from Moody’s and BBB rating from Fitch Ratings. The upgraded rating further strengthens Avolon’s access to capital markets and reflects confidence in its financial performance and business strategy.
