Avion Express has announced the appointment of Vytenis Suklys as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a leadership transition as long-serving CEO Darius Kajokas prepares to step down from the role at the end of May after more than eight years at the helm of the company.
During Kajokas’ tenure, Avion Express underwent significant expansion across its fleet, international operations, and customer base, strengthening its position as a major ACMI and aviation services provider within the global aviation industry. The company highlighted his role in driving long-term growth and establishing Avion Express as a trusted operational partner for airlines worldwide.
The company also confirmed that Vytenis Suklys will now lead the next phase of Avion Express’s development as it continues focusing on international expansion and operational excellence.
Suklys brings extensive knowledge of the aviation industry, along with strong financial and strategic management experience. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Avion Express, giving him deep familiarity with the company’s operational structure, business model, and organisational culture.
Avion Express stated that Suklys’ leadership is expected to support the company’s continued growth strategy while strengthening its global market presence amid rising demand for ACMI and outsourced aviation operational support services.
The leadership transition comes at a time when airlines globally continue relying heavily on flexible fleet solutions, operational partnerships, and wet-lease support to manage capacity challenges and seasonal demand fluctuations.
