Aviation Technical Services (ATS) has announced the appointment of its new CEO, Robert Cords, who takes over from Paul Dolan. This change in leadership comes as ATS aims to strengthen its position in the aviation industry. Rob Cords brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the Executive Vice President of Fleet Operations and Infrastructure at Wheels Up. In this capacity, he oversaw maintenance programs related to Part 135 charter operations and Part 145 repair station. His leadership background also includes being the President of MRO Holdings, a global provider of airframe maintenance and modification solutions.

Rob Cords Cords has a history of executive roles in the aviation industry, having served as the President of Airlines and Fleets at StandardAero, where he was responsible for overseeing the largest aircraft engine maintenance division. Rob Cords holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Indiana University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is expected to be based in Fort Worth, TX, at ATS’s component repair facility near DFW International Airport.
