AVIAREPS, a global provider of aviation, tourism and hospitality representation services with a presence in 71 countries, has announced the appointment of Bernd Michl as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Corporate Affairs Officer, effective July 1. Michl joins the company’s management board and will be responsible for overseeing AVIAREPS’ global financial strategy and operations, as well as supporting its continued international expansion and business development initiatives. He succeeds Ralf Kuttruff, who has served as CFO and Corporate Affairs Officer since 2022 and is set to leave the company at the end of June 2026.
Bringing more than 30 years of financial leadership experience, Michl has held senior finance and CFO roles across a range of industries, including trading, manufacturing and services. Before joining AVIAREPS, he worked with several prominent organizations, including BOL Medien (Bertelsmann), Elster Industries, Home Shopping 24 and Westwing. Throughout his career, he has led finance transformations, implemented planning and reporting systems, managed financing and investor relations activities, and supported corporate restructuring and growth initiatives.
Announcing the appointment, AVIAREPS CEO Edgar Lacker said Michl’s expertise in financial management, organizational development and business transformation makes him well-positioned to support the company’s next phase of growth. He also thanked Kuttruff for his contributions to the company’s development and international expansion during his tenure.
Reflecting on his time at AVIAREPS, Kuttruff described the role as rewarding and expressed confidence in the company’s future success under the leadership of Michl and the broader management team.
Michl said he was excited to join AVIAREPS and contribute to a company known for its entrepreneurial culture and extensive global network. He added that his focus would be on building strong financial structures, creating transparency and supporting sustainable growth as the company continues to expand across aviation, tourism, hospitality, cruise, mobility and related sectors.
With operations spanning 77 offices worldwide, AVIAREPS continues to strengthen its leadership team as it pursues further international growth and diversification across multiple travel and service industries.
