Avia Solutions Group has appointed Zilvinas Lapinskas as its new CEO, effective immediately, as the global aviation services provider enters its next phase of international expansion.
Lapinskas brings extensive aviation industry experience and a strong track record of scaling businesses in highly regulated global markets. Most recently, as CEO of FL Technics Group, he led the company’s transformation from a regional European MRO provider into a global business serving Tier 1 airlines across multiple continents. He will also continue to serve on the Avia Solutions Group Board of Directors.
As part of the leadership transition, Jonas Janukėnas, who has served as CEO for nearly nine years, has been appointed CFO. In his new role, he will oversee capital allocation, financial strategy and initiatives supporting the group’s long-term growth.
Commenting on the appointments, Gediminas Ziemelis, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Avia Solutions Group, said the company has consistently focused on placing the right leaders in positions where they can best support the organisation’s continued development. He noted that Lapinskas’ experience in building and expanding aviation businesses globally makes him well positioned to lead the group’s next stage of growth, while Janukėnas will continue to play a key leadership role by driving the company’s financial strategy.
