Aptus Aero, a Stephens Group portfolio company specializing in aviation component maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, has appointed Maria Breton as Chief Financial Officer as it advances its growth strategy in the aerospace aftermarket sector.
Breton joins the company to work alongside CEO Dale Gabel in expanding the platform’s capabilities and market presence. She brings extensive financial leadership experience across aviation services, manufacturing, and private equity-backed businesses.
Most recently, Breton served as CFO of First Aviation Services, a provider of component MRO and proprietary manufacturing solutions for military and private aircraft operators. Throughout her career, she has held a range of senior finance roles and has developed expertise in acquisition integration, financial transformation, and operational improvement.
“Maria is exactly the financial leader we need to build Aptus Aero into a leading aviation component MRO provider,” said Dale Gabel, CEO of Aptus Aero, highlighting her aviation finance experience and track record in scaling businesses.
Breton said she was excited to join the company during a key stage of its development, citing the leadership team, Stephens Group’s aerospace expertise, and the foundation established by Atlas Aerospace as strong drivers for future growth.
Stephens Group Managing Director Jack Nadal added that Breton’s combination of MRO knowledge, M&A experience, and finance leadership will play a critical role in supporting Aptus Aero’s long-term expansion plans.
