AMAC Aerospace sees strong demand for Bombardier MRO work in Basel

Swiss MRO provider completes a range of inspections and defect rectification projects across Bombardier’s Challenger and Global fleets

AMAC Aerospace is experiencing strong demand for Bombardier aircraft maintenance services at its Basel, Switzerland, facility, with the MRO provider reporting a busy summer period and an increasing number of new customers seeking alternative maintenance solutions.

The company has recently completed a series of scheduled maintenance inspections covering several Bombardier business jet variants.

Completed work includes a 36-month inspection on a Bombardier Challenger 604, a 30-month inspection on a Global 6000, and a 15-month and 2,250-flight-hour inspection on a Global 6000 XRS.

AMAC Aerospace also carried out a 12-month inspection and registry change on a Challenger 604, along with a 12-month inspection on a Challenger 605. Additional work included 1,500- and 500-flight-hour inspections on a Global 6000 and a 1,000-flight-hour inspection on a Global 5000.

Beyond scheduled maintenance, the Basel operation has handled several defect rectification projects across Bombardier aircraft. These have included engine defect rectification on a Global Express XRS, a bleed air controller replacement on a Global 5000 and a flap actuator replacement on a Challenger 604.

The MRO provider also completed tail cone repairs and tire replacement on a Bombardier Global 7500.

Alexis Ott, Director of Sales & Key Account Management at AMAC Aerospace, said the company has been particularly busy with Bombardier projects during the summer, while also attracting new customers.

“We are very busy again this summer with Bombardier projects. We are getting more and more new clients as they look for an alternative MRO service provider.”

The growing workload highlights continued demand for independent MRO providers capable of supporting Bombardier’s business aviation fleet, with AMAC Aerospace positioning its Basel facility as an alternative maintenance option for operators across the region.
