ALSIM ALX to deliver solo flight simulator to Turkish Airlines Flight Academy.
TAFA has been conducting its pilot training activities since 2013 at Aydın Çıldır Airport, with its 26 training aircraft, 3 flight simulators, and 31 Flight Instructors.

The ALSIM ALX simulator is expected to enhance TAFA’s flight training programs, as it seeks to train more professional pilots to meet the growing demand at Turkish Airlines.

Turkish Airlines Flight Academy (TAFA) has recently invested in an ALSIM ALX simulator, as the institution sets its sights on expanding its training capacity for professional pilots to meet the increasing demand for qualified pilots at Turkish Airlines. The investment in the ALSIM ALX simulator is expected to enhance TAFA’s flight training programs, as the institution seeks to train more professional and well-educated pilots to meet the growing demand for qualified pilots at Turkish Airlines.

With the advanced technology simulation equipment of the ALX simulator, TAFA aims to deliver high-quality training to its students and help them meet the requirements of the aviation industry.

The ALSIM ALX simulator is designed and approved for Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL), and Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) training, in compliance with all current regulatory standards. The simulator provides up to four classes of aircraft, ranging from the single-engine piston, twin-engine piston, twin-turbine, up to medium category twin jet, and is equipped with advanced technology simulation equipment tailored to all specific training requirements. The ALX simulator has a proven track record for cost-effectiveness and helps save numerous aircraft hours.

Assoc. Prof. İbrahim Zeki Akyurt, General Manager, TAFA said, “As a result of the research, we decided to bring the ALSIM ALX simulator, which is suitable for the desired flight training requirements and conditions, to TAFA. In terms of the features of the ALX simulator, we consider that its contribution to the flight training of professional and well-educated pilots will be high and valuable. Our preference was given to ALSIM, as the company offers proven and reliable FSTD models.”

TAFA has been conducting its pilot training activities since 2013 at Aydın Çıldır Airport, with its 26 training aircraft, 3 flight simulators, and 31 Flight Instructors. The institution gets aircraft maintenance services for its training activities at Aydın Çıldır Airport from Turkish Technic, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, which is one of the EASA-approved maintenance organizations. TAFA has its Operations Control Center team monitor every stage of the training by dispatchers on duty and ground control pilots through the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADSB) and Height Above Terrain System (HATS) devices existing on all aircraft.

Nicolas Fabriès, Sales Account Manager, ALSIM said, “We are very glad to welcome Turkish Airlines Flight Academy, one of the most prestigious flight schools in Turkey, to the ALSIM family. It’s been a great pleasure to work together with TAFA’s team, which has identified and selected the ALX as the perfect FSTD to meet their training needs. We are looking forward to installing this ALX in the next couple of weeks at their base, in Aydın.”

In conclusion, the investment by Turkish Airlines Flight Academy in the ALSIM ALX simulator underscores the institution’s commitment to providing high-quality training for professional pilots, and the simulator’s proven track record for cost-effectiveness is expected to save numerous aircraft hours. This development will help to meet the increasing demand for qualified pilots at Turkish Airlines, as TAFA sets its sights on expanding its training capacity.
