SMBC Aviation Capital has ordered an additional 60 A320neo Family aircraft.
With existing orders, this ensures a continuous delivery stream for SMBC Aviation Capital well beyond the end of the decade. The order is seen as a testament to the sustained global demand for technologically advanced and fuel-efficient aircraft. It comes amid the ongoing strong recovery in air travel worldwide.
This order deepens the strategic partnership between Airbus and SMBC Aviation Capital on the A320neo Family program. SMBC Aviation Capital has been a key customer for Airbus, and this new order underscores the lessor’s confidence in the A320neo Family aircraft. The A320neo Family, known for its unbeatable seat mile cost, offers airlines the flexibility to expand their networks, including new longer-haul routes that were not previously possible with a single-aisle jetliner.
