Airbus receives order for 20 A350-1000 aircraft from Delta Air Lines 
The A350 stands as the world’s most modern and efficient widebody aircraft, recognized as the long-range leader in the 300-410 seater category.

Airbus has received an order for 20 A350-1000 aircraft from Delta Air Lines with the airline currently operating over 450 Airbus aircraft across all product families, from the A220 to the A350-900, with an additional 200 on order. 

Airbus has been selected by Delta Air Lines to meet its requirements for modern, efficient widebodies and has initiated an order for 20 A350-1000 aircraft. This addition marks the A350-1000 as a new aircraft type in Delta’s extensive fleet. Delta Air Lines currently operates over 450 Airbus aircraft across all product families, from the A220 to the A350-900, with an additional 200 on order. The A350-1000 is set to contribute to Delta’s operational efficiency through reduced fuel burn, lower emissions, and decreased operating and maintenance costs.

Passengers will benefit from the Airbus Airspace cabin in the A350-1000, featuring spacious and quiet interiors, wide seats, high ceilings, and customizable ambient lighting designed to minimize fatigue and jet lag on long-haul flights.

The A350 stands as the world’s most modern and efficient widebody aircraft, recognized as the long-range leader in the 300-410 seater category. It efficiently serves a range of routes, from short-haul to ultra-long-haul, covering distances up to 9,700 nautical miles. The A350’s clean-sheet design incorporates state-of-the-art technologies, aerodynamics, lightweight materials, and latest-generation engines, delivering a 25% advantage in fuel burn, operating costs, and CO₂ emissions, along with a 50% noise footprint reduction compared to previous-generation competitor aircraft.

“The A350-1000 will be the largest, most capable aircraft in Delta’s fleet and is an important step forward for our international expansion,” said Ed Bastian, chief executive officer, Delta. “The aircraft complements our fleet and offers an elevated customer experience, with more premium seats and best-in-class amenities, as well as expanded cargo capabilities,” he further added.
