Airbus Helicopters and GDHF sign deal for 20 H175 helicopters
The current H175 helicopter fleet in service has been flown to over 210,000 flight hours, with 184,000 flight hours dedicated to energy-sector operations.

Airbus Helicopters and GD Aircraft Trading have signed a deal worth up to 20 H175 helicopters, with ten firm orders and ten options with GD Helicopter Finance managing the sale and marketing.

Airbus Helicopters and GD Aircraft Trading (GDAT) have agreed to a partnership marked by a deal worth up to 20 H175 helicopters, in which there are ten firm orders and ten options. New Dublin-based helicopter leasing and finance firm GD Helicopter Finance (GDHF) would manage the sale and marketing of these H175 helicopters to customers in energy, SAR, EMS, and parapublic sectors across the globe.

Airbus H175 The Airbus H175, launched in 2015, is in the super-medium size category of helicopters and is a development of the former Eurocopter EC175 and the further development of the ACH160. It delivers long-range capability, load-haul capability, and smooth flight characteristics, making it a very versatile aircraft for a wide range of mission profiles: emergency response, SAR, public services, crew change, and private and business aviation.

“GDHF is very pleased to announce the availability of 50 H160 and 20 Airbus H175 super medium helicopters to the worldwide market. This new H175 order, along with the existing 50 Airbus H160 medium helicopters already on the GDAT orderbook, will be available to GDHF. This deal will further enhance GDHF’s ability to offer our customers near term availability of efficient, cost-effective, multi-mission helicopters of the very latest technology. GDHF will build a strong relationship with Airbus to deliver high value solutions for our customers,” said Michael York, CEO, GDHF.

Airbus’ civil helicopters have been designed to meet the requirements of safe operations over a wide range of environments and operating conditions while achieving the lowest operating costs possible. The product range includes single- and twin-engine light and medium helicopters, as well as those in the eleven-ton-class.
