Airbus continues the march towards its target for 13,000 global recruitments in 2023.
A significant portion of the recruitment effort will be dedicated to recent graduates.

The remaining vacancies are being actively pursued, as Airbus seeks to bolster its workforce to support its production ramp-up and ambitious decarbonization goals.

Airbus, the leading aerospace company, is calling for aspiring professionals to join the growing sector as it aims to fill over 13,000 positions worldwide in 2023. Despite a challenging labour market, more than 7,000 positions have already been filled, highlighting the company’s appeal and recruitment success. The remaining vacancies are being actively pursued, as Airbus seeks to bolster its workforce to support its production ramp-up and ambitious decarbonization goals. New hires will play a vital role in shaping the future of sustainable aerospace.

In addition to Airbus’ recruitment efforts to fill over 13,000 positions globally in 2023, the company’s expansion and production ramp-up also present opportunities in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) sector. As Airbus continues to increase its production and fleet size, there will be a growing demand for MRO services to support the maintenance and servicing of aircraft.

With Airbus expanding its network in Europe and South Asia, the recruitment drive opens up prospects for MRO professionals from South Asia. As the company expands its operations in the region, there will be a need for skilled technicians, engineers, and maintenance personnel to ensure the efficient and safe operation of Airbus aircraft.

The recruitment drive can attract talent from South Asia’s burgeoning aviation industry, which has witnessed significant growth in recent years. As more airlines in the region adopt Airbus aircraft, the demand for MRO services is expected to rise. This presents an opportunity for MRO professionals from South Asia to contribute their expertise and join Airbus in shaping the future of sustainable aerospace.

Airbus is offering numerous job opportunities in manufacturing, engineering, and activities aligned with its long-term objectives, such as cybersecurity, software engineering, and new propulsion technologies like hydrogen, cryogenics, and fuel cells. A significant portion of the recruitment effort will be dedicated to recent graduates. In line with this objective, Airbus has extended its partnership with the Georgia Institute of Technology for an additional five years under the Airbus Academic Program, which collaborates with select top universities and schools worldwide.

Thierry Baril, Chief Human Resources & Workplace Officer of Airbus said, “We are happy to see that Airbus remains attractive despite the labour market challenges. Our recruitment efforts are paying-off and will continue to support our production ramp-up and company transformation. We are focused on attracting, training and developing the best diverse talents in our company to help us shape the future of sustainable aerospace.”

In addition to this strategic program, Airbus has expanded its academic partnerships with 42 business schools and universities globally in 2023. Collaborations with organizations like CEMS and UNITECH will promote synergies in the aeronautical sector and foster the development of the next generation of aerospace professionals.

With over 134,000 employees worldwide, Airbus is a major employer in the aerospace industry. In recognition of its commitment to people management and HR policies, Airbus received Top Employers certification in Europe, North America, and the Asia Pacific region from the Top Employers Institute in 2023.
