Airbus appoints Bart Reijnen as President of Airbus Helicopters and Head of the North America region.
In May 2021, Bart Reijnen took on an additional role as the Head of Material Services in Airbus Customer Services, where he oversaw Airbus' Flight Hour Services activities.

Bart Reijnen in his dual roles, will shap the strategies and operations of Airbus in the US and Canadian helicopter markets, overseeing more than 1,100 Airbus Helicopters employees.

Airbus has announce the appointment of Bart Reijnen, a seasoned aerospace executive, as the President of Airbus Helicopters, Inc. while also serving as the Head of the North America region for Airbus Helicopters. In these dual roles, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategies and operations of Airbus in the United States and Canadian helicopter markets, overseeing more than 1,100 Airbus Helicopters employees, and driving performance excellence.

Bart’s journey to this influential position within Airbus is marked by a series of key leadership roles where he has consistently demonstrated his vision and capabilities. Before assuming his current role, he served as the CEO of Satair, an Airbus services company, starting from November 1, 2016. His tenure at Satair exemplified his adeptness at managing complex service-oriented businesses.

In May 2021, Bart Reijnen took on an additional role as the Head of Material Services in Airbus Customer Services, where he oversaw Airbus’ Flight Hour Services activities. This expansion of his responsibilities showcased his ability to navigate various facets of the aerospace industry, from services to materials, with skill and insight.

Prior to these roles, Bart led On-Orbit Services and Exploration activities within Airbus Defence and Space. His contributions to Airbus extended to his role as the Head of the Bremen Site in Germany, a pivotal position that reflected his expertise in managing and directing critical aerospace operations.

Before his tenure at Airbus Defence and Space in Bremen, Bart Reijnen served as the Chief Executive Officer of Dutch Space, which later became Airbus Defence and Space Netherlands. His leadership at Dutch Space contributed significantly to the growth and success of this aerospace organization. Bart’s connection with Airbus is deep-rooted and multifaceted, spanning different positions over a ten-year period at Airbus Corporate Headquarters and Airbus Commercial. This extensive experience across various divisions of Airbus has provided him with a holistic understanding of the aerospace industry.

Bart Reijnen’s educational background is equally impressive. He holds a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, which he earned from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. His specialization in Flight Dynamics, Stability & Control, and Simulation equipped him with the technical knowledge that forms the foundation of his aerospace career.
