Air France KLM picks CFM international’s LEAP-1A engine to power latest A320NEO FLEET.
The advanced LEAP engine continues to set new industry standards for fuel efficiency and asset utilization, logging more than 20 million engine flight hours.

Air France-KLM purchased 200 CFM International LEAP-1A engines for its new fleet of Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircrafts, after concluding negotiations that began in April.

PARIS, France. The Air France-KLM, recently announced their purchase order of 200 CFM International LEAP-1A engines to power their new fleet of Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft.

Being a longstanding CFM customer, Air France-KLM group currently have their aircraft fitted with CFM56-7B and CFM56-5B engines, powering the carriers’ Boeing Next-Generation 737 and Airbus A320ceo fleets, respectively.

Offering 15 percent fuel economy, lower CO2 emissions, as also achieving significant improvement in noise reduction, LEAP engines from CFM helped customers save more than 14 million tons of CO2 – in line with aviation industry’s sustainability goals.
