Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has signed a new multi-year agreement with Air Corsica to provide maintenance support for the airline’s fleet of nine CFM International LEAP-1A engines powering its Airbus A320neo aircraft.
The agreement expands a long-standing partnership between the two companies and marks the extension of AFI KLM E&M’s engine support services from Air Corsica’s existing CFM56-5B fleet to its next-generation LEAP-1A engines.
AFI KLM E&M has previously provided CFM56-5B engine maintenance and component support for Air Corsica’s Airbus A320ceo and A320neo operations. The latest agreement further strengthens the MRO provider’s role as Air Corsica modernizes its fleet and increases its reliance on next-generation propulsion technology.
Under the new agreement, AFI KLM E&M will leverage its engine maintenance capabilities and operational expertise to support engine reliability, fleet availability and overall operational performance throughout the contract period.
Martijn de Vries, Senior Vice President Commercial at AFI KLM E&M, said the agreement represents an important milestone in the companies’ decades-long relationship.

“We are proud to further strengthen our long-standing partnership with Air Corsica through this new LEAP-1A engine support agreement,” de Vries said. “Extending our collaboration to their next-generation engine fleet is a significant milestone for both organizations and reflects the trust Air Corsica places in our teams, technical expertise and growing LEAP capabilities.”
Hervé Pierret, Member of the Management Board at Air Corsica, said AFI KLM E&M’s understanding of the airline’s operational requirements was a key factor in extending the partnership.
As Air Corsica continues its transition to the Airbus A320neo, the airline will benefit from continued engine support from an MRO provider already familiar with its fleet and maintenance requirements.
The agreement also underscores AFI KLM E&M’s growing presence in the LEAP engine MRO market, as airlines worldwide increasingly adopt next-generation narrowbody aircraft. The company said the expanded partnership demonstrates its ability to provide tailored maintenance solutions as customers transition to newer engine platforms.
